STEVEN HAUCK
WILHELM CANARIS (1887-1945)
World War I German Imperial Navy u-boat hero and spy who was appointed German Military Intelligence Chief by Adolph Hitler in 1934.
Dismissed in 1944 and declared guilty of high treason against the Third Reich, he was secretly hanged as a double agent by the Gestapo on April 8, 1945.
